Platelet-Rich Fibrin Matrix (PRFM) is an autologous regenerative treatment that uses a concentrated preparation of the patient’s own blood to support rejuvenation. PRFM contains a fibrin matrix and concentrated platelets that can provide a sustained local release of growth factors and other signaling proteins involved in tissue repair and regeneration.
For hair restoration, PRFM may be applied topically to the scalp help promote a healthier environment for existing hair follicles. The goal is to improve the health of existing hair follicles and promote thicker, fuller-looking hair.
PRFM can also be combined with microneedling or fractional CO₂ laser treatment. These procedures create controlled microchannels in the skin, which can facilitate delivery of the PRFM preparation into the skin allowing for rejuvenation and healing of the treated areas.
