Dr. Kendall Goodyear, a native of Arizona, embarked on an academic journey that took her to the East Coast. While at Cornell University she pursued a diverse education majoring in Biology and minoring in Mathematics and Dance, culminating in a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in all subjects. She was also inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society for her academic excellence. Dr. Goodyear earned her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where she also completed a certificate in Clinical Neuroscience. She then completed her residency at the Stein Eye Institute at UCLA. Her dedication to ophthalmology and advocacy was recognized with the Starr E. Schulman Fellow Award from the California Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and the Young Ophthalmologist Green Grant Research Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Throughout her residency, Dr. Goodyear remained committed to research, contributing to numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations. Outside of medicine, she finds joy in hiking and traveling with her family and dog.
