CAREOS stands for Center for Aesthetic and Reconstructive Eyelid and Orbital Surgery. Texas Oculoplastic Consultants (TOC) is designed to provide comprehensive care in a pleasant, professional setting. All pre- and post-operative consultation is provided in the TOC office, and most surgeries are performed in the adjoining ambulatory surgical center. CAREOS is state-of-the-art, fully accredited, and laser-equipped. It was designed by the TOC physicians specifically to be patient friendly. Your surgeon is assisted by highly skilled, professional nurses and technicians. Anesthesia, when necessary, is provided by board-certified anesthesiologists.
CAREOS can help make your stay convenient and efficient in many ways. Ambulatory surgery helps to reduce hospital costs, personal expense, and length of stay for patients needing surgery. CAREOS is the only ambulatory surgical center in Central Texas solely dedicated to oculoplastic and laser aesthetic surgery. This means it is highly efficient at providing the specific care required for TOC’s patients. For those times, however, when surgery is best performed at a hospital, the TOC physicians have surgical credentials at all Austin-area hospitals.
If you elect to have your surgery at CAREOS, you may be assured that the center is accredited at local, state, and federal levels. It is an approved ambulatory surgical facility by Medicare and the Texas Department of Health. CAREOS also meets the criteria of the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).
Although AAAHC accreditation is not required of ambulatory surgical centers, the TOC physicians elected to pursue approval in order to demonstrate their commitment to top-quality medical care.
If you would like to know more about CAREOS, please feel free to ask for a tour of the facility when you are in the TOC office.
