Linda Lange, RN, has been the Director of the TOC Surgery Center (CAREOS) for over 12 years. Before that, she had an extensive career as a surgical nurse in the Austin area. She has a reputation for running a tight ship, yet she is tender-hearted and still treats patients with the same care as when she was a new graduate nurse. We recently caught up with her to get her thoughts about the TOC Surgery Center (CAREOS). Specifically, we asked her “What makes our operating room unique?”
Linda replied: “Because the surgery center is specialty-focused, our nurses can provide nursing care specifically suited for the patients we serve. The staff are knowledgeable and can provide answers to patient questions quickly and efficiently. They understand how important patient’s questions are, and strive to listen attentively to their concerns. When calling with questions after surgery, patients can receive an immediate response, and be assured the surgeon is being kept informed about their progress. Former patients have commented they felt pampered and treated like they were the only patient here that day, and truly appreciated the concern and friendliness of the staff.”
Clearly, Linda is proud of the high level of care offered at the TOC Surgery Center (CAREOS). In this image, she is standing proudly in front of our AAAHC Certification- the toughest standard for an independent ambulatory surgery center. On a routine basis, the Center is re-surveyed by AAAHC, the Texas Board of Health, and Medicare. The surgeons at TOC feel privileged to care for their patients in a truly exceptional surgery center.
